
UC Santa Cruz men's basketball has announced seven new recruits that will suit up for the Banana Slugs this year.
Coach Ron Dubois, the winningest coach in program history, got the seven commits from all over California, and all bring an amazing skill set to boost the team depth.
In their first year in the ACAA, UCSC is hoping to reach their first Conference tournament next February in Delhi, NY.
THE RECRUITS
Avri Finch 6'6" Forward
Albany High
Avri led Albany to a 22-10 season which included a NorCal State Tournament appearance. Averaged 16 ppg & 12 rpg.
NCS All Section Honorable Mention, Junior Year (2018) All state nominee and 2nd team all league senior year.
NCS Scholar athlete all four years.

JM Johnson 6'6" Forward
Poly High School/Murrieta Mesa High School.
3 year Varsity player.
An amazing accomplished student. Coach Dubois notes "JM is athletic, rebounds well and has a solid post game to match."

Treyson Keating 6'7" Forward
Pleasant Valley High, Chico
His senior year, Keating averaged 12.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. He won the CIF Division III state championship in 2018 and was part of back-to-back Northern Section championships his junior and senior years.
Keating was also named the first team All-Northern Section center.

Garrett Kelly 6'6" Forward
Summit Prep Charter High, Redwood City
1st Team All PSAL, led CCS in Points per game at 27.7.

Tyler Kessinger 6'3" Guard
Paloma Valley High,Menifee.
Team Captain, 1st team all league of the CIF Ivy League and won league championship for the first time in school history in 2018.

Sam Nangle 6'7" Forward
St. Ignatius College Preparatory, San Francisco
Helped lead SI to an outstanding 17-11 WCAL record over the last 2 seasons.
Coach Dubois- "Sam brings length and athleticism to the Slugs."
Tyler Otterlei 6'3" Guard
Pleasant Valley High, Chico
All Section and All-League 2018-2019, Coaches Award 2018-2019, All Star Nomination for the 2019 Phil Bryant All-Star game,
2019 CIF D3 Northern Section Champions.
