Picked UCSC because "it is close to my family, it is is located in a beautiful area close to the beach and it also has a great nature feeling to it. UCSC has a great atmosphere that I want to be a part of since the people there are so friendly and kind. I also wanted the opportunity to continue being coached by Coach Matt because I have faith that, under him, I can reach my full potential in swimming."
His mom is the most influential person in his life because she "has always stood by my side in my tough journey through both swim and school. She has always supported me through the ups and downs of my swimming journey and has inspired me to always persevere and keep believing in myself no matter how hard the journey gets. She has instilled in me a strong faith in God and has taught me to always believe in God's plan, which is what has ultimately helped me to strive to do my best each time I train and race."
Hobbies outside the pool include watching movies and television , playing on the beach, going to church, listening to music, taking naps, hanging out with mom and exercising with family.
