NEWBERG, ORE - Kaylee Murphy had 11 points and 7 rebounds, but UC Santa Cruz couldn't dig out of an early hole in a 90-51 loss at George Fox.
The Bruins (3-1) scored 29 points in the first quarter and 27 in the second to build a 56-30 lead at the break and never look back.
Ashley Kowack added 9 points and Emily Mitchell scored 8 off the bench.
George Fox's Kylin Collman led all scorers with 14 points, including 4-5 from three.
The hosts outrebounded UCSC 48-21 and were 18-23 (78.3%) from the foul-line, compared to the Banana Slugs going just 5-6 (83.3%).
UCSC continues the road-trip next week when they go to southern California for two games, beginning Friday the 22nd at Whittier.
